- Randy Horton began training in Karate and Kung Fu under the guidance of his father in 1973. His foundation was further enriched by amateur boxing experience—he trained under Mel Trentholm at the Belleville and Cannifton Boxing Clubs. SWM Academy for the Martial Arts
Advanced Training & Martial Arts Ranks

- In 1996, Randy began training under Shihan Ric Cameron, deepening his practice in multiple traditional disciplines. SWM Academy for the Martial Arts+1
- In 2009, Sensei Randy represented Canada at the International Sports Jujitsu Association World Championships, competing in both the light-heavy and heavyweight divisions. He won his primary division, placed second overall in the light-heavy division after a loss to the United States, and ultimately secured second place in the world championships as part of Team Canada.
- His current martial arts ranks include:
- 7th-degree Black Belt in Goshin Aiki Jujitsu
- 7th-degree Black Belt in Chito-Ryu Karate
- 4th-degree Black Belt in Kendo
- 4th-degree Black Belt in Muso Shinden-Ryu Iaido

Teaching Roles & Certification
- Sensei Randy currently teaches both children’s and adult classes at the SWM Budokan in Glencoe, Ontario. SWM Academy for the Martial Arts
